Day 80 - Ice Cream in Kent

August 3 - Wiley Shelter to Silver Hill Campsite - 22.9 miles

Re-supplied in Kent, CT today. Not much in this town but a couple of restaurants, Post Office, Outfitter and an IGA. Found a great deal at the grocery store- two half gallons of ice cream for $5.98. After devouring chocolate chip cookie dough and strawberry we found ourselves stretched out on the bench, in a state of pure bliss.

While walking today I heard a loud crash in the woods. Roughly 99.99% of the time it is a branch but this time it was a squirrel! The poor guy fell about 50 feet to the forest floor.
In addition to this rare occurrence, we witnessed a red fox bolting through the woods.

Our campsite tonight has a swing, one of those big wooden ones. That was much more relaxing than the rocks that we normally sit on.
