Re-supplied in Hamburg today. Hit up Walmart and immediately went to the dairy section, grabbed three pints of chocolate milk and checked out. 600 calories of chocolate milk later we bought our groceries.
Visited Cabela's for some gear and lunch. Apparently, this particular outfitter is the nationa's largest... we were a little overwhelmed.
Stayed at the Eckville Shelter, where the caretaker came out of this home and gave us all freeze-pops. No one is ever too old for a freeze pop.
Oh, it was 105 degrees today...
Hey guys. Hope the hurricane didn't affect you too much. Turns out Jedi and I just missed you at DWG. We got into town at 9 pm and headed for the hotel instead of the hostel. We were actually thinking of changing our names to the Ringwraiths - as we were in pursuit of the Hobbits! Finished my 3-mo section on Aug. 4 at Pawling NY. Jedi is leaving Franconia Notch today (Aug. 30). He had to take 4 zeros because of the WMNF closure. Good luck and take care. Chef Boyardee
